House of Zwide is a South African soap opera set which tells the rags-to-riches tale of a fashionable Johannesburg family who bring high drama and ruthless ambition as they rise to the top of the cutthroat fashion industry. The show contrasts two worlds and two families: one is in Tembisa where the Molapo family reside and the other is Rosebank where we find the well-off and fashionable Zwide family. Vusi Kunene stars as South Africa’s most influential fashionista – the founder and owner of House of Zwide, Funani Zwide. Winnie Ntshaba plays his supportive wife, Faith Zwide; and Motlatsi Mafatshe stars in the lighthearted role of Uncle Molefe, who brings moments of humour to the show.
