Amanda Du-Pont is a Swazi-born South African actress and television personality best known for acting as Lelo Mthiyane on SABC1 soapie drama Skeem Saam.
Early Life and Background
Amanda Du-Pont was born on the 26 June 1988 in Manzini, Kingdom of
Eswatini formerly Swaziland. She currently resides in Johannesburg,
Gauteng, South Africa. She is of Portuguese, Chinese, French and Swazi
descent and was raised in Manzini but later moved to Mpumalanga to
finish her schooling at Uplands College.

Amand du-Pont’s mother, Antoinette duPont is a Swati and her father, Harry Tum is half Chinese half Portuguese.

In 2011, du-Pont was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The South
African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance (‘AFDA’) located
in Johannesburg, and one year after, she had graduated from the New York
Film Academy in New York City, where she was awarded a full scholarship
for scholastic excellence.
In 2007 she was a cast member of a serial drama, Life is wild as
Serina. The show was about a New York veterinarian who moves his second
wife and their two sets of children to a game reserve run by his former
father-in-law in South Africa. She was cast on Muvhango as Thabisile
Dlamini which was aired on SABC 2, a role she played for approximately 2
In 2013, she appeared on City Ses’la as Khanyi Mbuli , A Place Called
Home as Yolisa, Mzansi Love: Kasi Style as Khalipha, End Game as Suzie,
Single Guys as Khuli and Intersexions as Khanya.
2014, she had a role on Task Force as Christelle Ndlovu. She also had a
leading role on the South African feature film, Between Friends, when
she played the character of Nisha- a ruthless gold digger.

She co-hosted Come Duze 2014 with Lunga Shabalala of Selimathunzi.
